"Of all the days for Martha to take to her bed!
Lulu Littleton is coming to call!"

With these opening words the stage is set for "Abigail Bradshaw" to open the door of her Victorian era home, only to discover an audience of people she is not expecting.  Endeavoring to be gracious even in the midst of such difficult circumstances, Abigail gets caught up in sharing all the plans she and her guest are to discuss about their upcoming benefit tea to raise funds for the Ladies Aid Society.   In the midst of her elaborate descriptions, she begins to unwind, and realizes the importance of "savoring the slow" of tea-time moments.

This musical dramatic vignette features songs, poetry and all the accoutrements of a Victorian era tea-time.  The audience will not only hear about proper tea etiquette, including a delightful "fairy tea party" with Abigail's daughter, but will discover afresh the joys of companionship with other women espoused in the 19th Century.

Do you long to slow the pace of life and rekindle friendships? The Visits With a Victorian Lady® musical dramatic vignette, "The Pleasures of Afternoon Tea," will satisfy your soul.
